The City of Goleta Environmental Services Division is implementing a One Water holistic approach to water management, which emphasizes the perspective that all water has value, and the benefit of every drop should be maximized within the water system. The City considers the water cycle as an integrated system, recognizing the interconnectedness of watershed health, stormwater, surface water and groundwater supply, wastewater, recycled water, and flood protection. Creek and Watershed Management

The Creek and Watershed Management Program (CWMP) includes detailed information on the dozen creeks that run through our community, identifies impairments to these creeks, and outlines programs and specific future actions to address identified impairments. It also outlines best practices to provide habitat for fish and wildlife, accommodate wildlife movement corridors, convey stormwater runoff and floodwaters, and furnish open space and passive recreational areas for City residents.
