The City of Goleta is committed to being a sustainable community. A green home or business pays attention to energy efficiency, water and resource conservation, the use of sustainable or recycled products, and measures to protect indoor air quality. Residents and businesses can go green now by making small changes that can have a big impact.

To assist the community in making conscious choices at home, Goleta has joined the Resilient Central Coast campaign. 40% of emissions for the U.S. come from 5 basic household activities we do every day – electricity use, home heating, transportation, food choices and waste we send to landfill. Join Climate Resilient Santa Barbara County to learn how to reduce your emissions and explore resources available to residents to support environmentally friendly choices.

The following resources include tips and information for residents and businesses on green building, energy efficient products and practices, and what others are doing to go green!
