Jinny Webber, professor of English at Santa Barbara City College, recreates the England of Shakespeare in her series of books "The Shakespeare Actor Trilogy", which includes "The Secret Player." Shakespeare, Queen Elizabeth, and John Donne are among the many characters in this gripping and well-researched historical series.
