Local performing arts studio Sino West brings a free demonstration of Kung Fu to elementary school-age children at the Goleta branch on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 3:30 p.m. The Goleta Library is located at 500 N. Fairview Ave. in Goleta.

The demonstration will showcase martial arts moves and acrobatic feats, and the leader will explain some of the philosophy of the Chinese art of Kung Fu. In the second part of the program the audience will learn basic Kung Fu stances, punches and kicks, and practice a short routine. This program promises to be both educational and fun.
