Goleta Citizens' Academy Announcement

The Goleta Citizens’ Academy offers you the opportunity to learn more about what the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office personnel does on a day by day basis. You’ll get an insider look at the various departments over the course of seven weeks. Topics will include a history of the department, how a deputy sheriff is trained, forensics, SWAT, narcotics, K-9, bomb squad, drive team, and much more. The academy will also include a tour of the main jail, the Santa Barbara Courthouse, and Emergency Communications Center.

Kick off class is April 18, from 6-9 p.m. in the City of Goleta Council Chambers at, 130 Cremona Drive, Suite B.  Course continues at various locations on Wednesday evenings through May 30. Graduation BBQ on June 2.
