For the seventh consecutive year, the City of Goleta will be accepting applications for its Community Project Grant Program. Applications for this program, which allocates a total of $30,000 in funding toward community-oriented projects, will be accepted between January 5 and February 13, 2009. Projects eligible for grant funding must fall into one of the following four categories:

1) Goleta community organizations
2) Cultural activities (i.e. music, art, dance, recreation)
3) Goleta-oriented special events
4) Regional projects of benefit to Goletans

Individual grants are limited to a maximum of $2,500 each. The City Council is expected to consider grant recommendations at their first regular meeting in April 2009.
