Let your imagination run free!  Decorate a full face 3D paper mache mask using acrylic paint and various art supplies for color, texture, and design.  All art materials provided including masks that are non-toxic and eco -friendly.  The workshop is free to the public, ages 18 and up.   Space is limited, please sign up by phoning or emailing library staff: 805-688-4214; SolvangLibrary@cityof goleta.org.

Cynthia DeVine was raised in a family of artists. She remembers, “I never had an interest in coloring books because I didn’t want to be confined to inside the lines.” It was the beginning of her artistic journey beyond the lines and outside of the box.  DeVine majored in fine art/art history at UC Berkeley and completed a Getty Institute Discipline Based Art Education Workshop.  DeVine has had art exhibits at Elverhoj Museum, Meisel Art Gallery, UCSB Women’s Art Gallery, Art Guild of Pacific, and has artwork in private collections. 

DeVine has worked with a variety of mediums over the years: oil paints, acrylics, watercolors, oil and soft pastels, collage, assemblage and murals; and has taught both studio art and art history. Her students have ranged in age from 4 years to 100 years, some with special needs.
