Solvang Library invites the public to meet local author Arvind Ethan David and celebrate the launch of the second volume of his adult graphic novel Gray.

Doors open at 5 pm, and the program, featuring an author talk, a live reading with local theater students, and signing begins at 5:30 pm. 

Admission is free to the public, with donations to the Friends of the Library of Santa Ynez Valley gratefully accepted.   RSVP here or by emailing SolvangLibrary@cityofgoleta.org.

 Arvind Ethan David is a writer and producer whose work includes the Tony & Grammy winning musical Jagged Little Pill and television shows including Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency and the forthcoming Anansi Boys.

 “Since I was a teenager I’ve been obsessed with Oscar Wilde and his gothic horror Dorian Gray. It’s been a wonderful joy to bring my version of Dorian into the world as both graphic novels and an Audible Original drama — and I’m excited to share a piece of both with my adopted home of the SY Valley. " 

Arvind’s graphic novels  also include the Stoker Award-nominated series Darkness Visible (with Mike Carey), and the Dirk Gently comic books.   He is also a chart-topping Audible author with his science fiction anthology series Earworms, and Audible will also be releasing a full cast adaptation of Gray later this year.
