Monarch season is here and the monarchs are arriving on the coast!

Learn to Count Monarchs with Charis van der Heide, monarch butterfly expert and senior biologist with Althouse and Meade. This is a training and refresher walk to learn how to count monarchs for the upcoming Western Monarch Thanksgiving Count which runs Saturday November 11 through Sunday December 3.

In order to participate in the 2023 Western Monarch Thanksgiving Count, new and returning volunteers must register with the Xerces Society.
