The GVL Writers' Workshop is open to adults and teens who write in any genre, fiction or non-fiction.

The workshop meets on the first Saturday of each month to share work, exchange feedback, offer mutual support and discuss the tools of the trade.

 This month's discussion topic: Where Does Your Story Begin?

Where does your story begin? At the beginning, of course... but where is that? How much information does a reader need about your characters and the world they inhabit before things kick into gear? Every writer must answer those questions for themselves, but it's helpful to start looking at exactly what kicks your story into gear.
