The Magpie Club reads Poetry

Adults

A book discussion group for readers who like to explore a wide variety of books, from prize-winning fiction in various genres, to newer non-fiction.

In October, the group will use "The Hurting Kind: Poems" by Ada Limón, the twenty-fourth Poet Laureate of the United States, as a springboard:  Readers are encouraged to explore this or another poet's work, or revisit an old favorite.  Bring a poem that speaks to you to read aloud to the group.  Copies of "The Hurting Kind" are available at Solvang Library, and as an instant E-book or Audio download on Hoopla.
