Description

This project will replace deteriorated or missing sidewalk along both sides of Magnolia Avenue from Hollister Avenue south to Gaviota Street. The project includes curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveway, ADA access ramps, and tree replacements.

Purpose and Need

There is currently a gap in the sidewalk along the east side of Magnolia Avenue just south of Hollister Avenue for approximately 140 feet making pedestrian travel difficult. This project will fill the sidewalk gap with new sidewalk to provide continuous accessibility and increase safety for pedestrians. The project will also replace deteriorated sidewalk on the west side as well as driveway apron and ADA access ramps.

Funding Sources

Funding for this project is through Measure A local funds and US Housing and Urban Development - Community Development Block Grant.
