Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) and Tourism Business Improvement District Assessment (TBID) is charged to individuals having occupancy for a period of 30 consecutive days or less at a hotel, motel, etc.
Under Title 3, of Chapter 6, a Monthly Transient Occupancy Tax Return Form must be completed, and the taxes paid on a monthly basis, even if no tax is collected. Checks must be made payable to the City of Goleta. TOT form must be included with payment.
